Gabriel Palatchi is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, known for his powerful and original fusion of Latin jazz, tango, funk, world music, Middle Eastern influences, and electronic sounds. With more than 20 years performing at major festivals and renowned venues around the world, Gabriel has built a unique musical language that crosses cultures, genres, and borders.

Gabriel began playing piano at the age of eight, showing from an early age a natural connection with the instrument. He studied classical music in Buenos Aires and trained with renowned masters of blues, tango, jazz, and Latin jazz. After graduating in 2007 from Berklee International School in Argentina, he continued his studies in Cuba with the legendary Latin jazz pianist Chucho Valdes, an experience that deeply shaped his artistic vision and expanded his connection to Afro-Cuban music, rhythm, and improvisation.

For more than two decades, Gabriel has been traveling non-stop around the world, performing, collaborating, and absorbing regional and folkloric music from the places he visits. From Latin America to North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, he has incorporated these rhythms, colors, and cultural influences into his own compositions, creating music that feels both deeply personal and truly global, while always staying deeply connected to his Argentine roots in tango and folkloric music.

Throughout his career, Gabriel has released seven critically acclaimed albums, earning international recognition as both a composer and performer for his exceptional contribution to contemporary music. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Latin Jazz Network, All About Jazz, Jazz Caribe, The Toronto Star, Inside World Music, Newstime South Africa, and many other international media outlets.

His previous recordings have featured a wide range of formats, from trio and sextet projects to larger ensemble productions, as well as his fully electronic album Give Me The Beat, reflecting the richness, energy, and global influences of his musical world.

His album Trivolution received the Gold Medal in the Composer and Album categories at the Global Music Awards 2015, reached the TOP TEN, and was featured in Billboard Magazine’s Emerging Artists section, strengthening his reputation as one of the most distinctive and adventurous artists in the contemporary Latin jazz and world music scene.

In 2026, Gabriel recorded the eighth album of his career and his first-ever solo piano album, Piano Sin Fronteras / Piano Without Borders. The album is a deeply personal musical journey through time, memory, identity, and emotion, capturing the essence of Gabriel’s 35 years at the piano. With only the piano as his voice, Piano Sin Fronteras brings together the influences, experiences, and musical worlds that have shaped his artistic path, revealing Gabriel in his most intimate and expressive form.

Gabriel will be presenting Piano Sin Fronteras / Piano Without Borders around the world during 2026 and 2027, bringing this new solo piano project to festivals, theaters, cultural centers, universities, and concert halls internationally.

On stage, Gabriel radiates a captivating energy. His charisma, spontaneity, and deep connection with the audience turn every performance – whether solo piano, trio, sextet, electronic project, or international collaboration – into a powerful and unforgettable musical journey.

As an educator, Gabriel shares his knowledge and experience through workshops, masterclasses, and international collaborations, inspiring new generations of musicians to explore their own voice, creativity, rhythm, and artistic freedom.

Above all, Gabriel Palatchi is a true musical explorer. His boundless curiosity and passion for global cultures fuel compositions that weave together rhythms, landscapes, memories, and emotions, celebrating diversity and the universal power of music.
